Hi!
I’m Erin Nichole, the head, heart and hands behind Mija Handmade. I design bold quilt patterns for the bold quilter, and I love sharing inventive patchwork to help grow your skills.

The Block Widow quilt is the perfect spooky quilt without the scary sewing. Spin your own version with a scrappy spider body or a one-color spider. Fat quarter friendly, this pattern is perfect for stash busting or showing off your favorite seasonal fabrics. The quilt top is assembled using HSTs and your favorite web piecing methods. The quilt pattern comes in three sizes:
Baby - 33” x 36”
Small throw - 55” x 60”
Large throw - 66” x 72”
Perfect for beginners, the pattern comes with labels and a coloring page. Make sure to share your progress and your projects using #BlockWidowQuilt and #MijaPatterns.
Perfect for spooky season sewing, the Pump Queen quilt block uses equilateral triangles and inset circles. Make just one quilt block to add to your growing collection of creepy quilt blocks, or make enough to fill an entire pumpkin patch. You'll need a ruler with a 60 degree line to make this block. Make the block scrappy by diving into your fabric stash or use your favorite pre-cut charm pack for the patchwork. The pattern assumes some familiarity with sewing curves. The block finishes at 12” x 12”.

Perfect for all seasons, the Silly Goose quilt block can be dressed up for any holiday or special occasion. I recommend using solids or blenders for the goose body, and showing off your favorite statement print in the bandana. Make one into a pillow or farmer’s market tote bag. Make several into a whole flock of geese! The pattern uses quarter circle blocks and assumes some familiarity with sewing curves. The block is traditionally pieced and finishes at 12” x 12”.
