  • I want to find quilt patterns with new & novel designs.

  • I need variety and community to keep me engaged.

  • I want to sew curves, but I don’t want to commit to a whole quilt top of the same pattern.

  • I want to make quilts that don’t look like anything else out there.

  • I’m looking for a low pressure way to build my quilting skills.

The Learning Curves BOM is a 12 month bonanza for quilters who want to make something they’ve never seen before. Whether you’re a confident beginner or a seasoned sewist, there’s a block with your name - & skill level - on it! Inspired by post-modern design, each block highlights a different curve template or traditional piecing technique. Nine of the blocks will teach you fantastic curves, and range from confident beginner to advanced skill levels. Three blocks don’t use curves. These blocks are a bit like palate cleansers or deep breaths - moments to rest and reset our sew-jo throughout the year.

The best way to learn how to sew curves is to find a project that motivates you and a community that supports you. I’ll be with you every step of the way - from the first cut to the final press.

Each month, you’ll get access to:

  1. a new Learning Curves block pattern with cutting diagrams.

  2. a bonus sheet with inspiration for a full quilt top, tips and tricks for sewing the block, or extra templates to make use of scraps.

  3. a yardage cutting guide that shows how to cut all fabrics from yardage instead of scraps

  4. a new blog post that dives deep into the pattern, with detailed photos of experiments with sewing curves.

    5. insight and advice from other quilters who have made the quilt block.
